“ Nice Mexican place. The tacos are of good size and tasty. Wish they would stay open later.... ”
“ Local favorite!. I keep getting their quesadillas all the time. Only feedback is if they stay open late on weekends! ”
“ I was able to try lots of their food from a catered event I attended. I had the chance to have a tamale, rice, chicken fajita, and a chicken empanada. I was also able to sample their street and empanada sauce as well as some salsa. They were all very solid and complimented all of the food I was able to eat. The tamale was very tasty. It appeared very fresh and was filled appropriately. The rice and chicken fajita were flavored nicely as I had them together. The chicken empanada was good too. The shell was crispy while the filing was just right as there was a good ratio of empanada shell to filing. Will I go back? I would head there, yes. ”
“ Fresh and tasty. This is a small cute, carefully cared for gem. They make basically everything fresh and have many options that you just don't see at typical Mexican places. The guacamole is some of the best I have ever had and their fresh pico is simple perfection. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and are clearly proud of their food. ”
“ Well, finally tried Marcy's first time since she's opened we live in the area 29 years. We live about a mile away and since we're in California often, we rarely eat Mexican when home in N. J. But figured I'd pick up a to go order for us to eat during Yankee game. We ordered Steak A la Mexicana, Enmoladas, Super Nachos and a Meat and Cheese Empanada. I'm a big Mole lover and my Enmoladas were outstanding. Mole sauce is my favorite sauce of any ethnic sauce in the world, when made correctly. Mole is from the Oaxaca region of Mexico. I first tasted Mole made by my daughter's housekeeper in California who's from Oaxaca and it's outstanding. The mole from Marcy's was no different the smoky, sweet slightly spicy flavor was perfect. The enchiladas were stuffed full and cheese and other accompaniments blended perfectly. Black beans and rice were on point. The Steak A la Mexicana was also very good, steak was cooked perfect, blend of peppers, onions and sauce was extremely flavorful. Steak was a just a bit tough, but no problem, it was the cut not the cooking time or method. The Super Nachos were excellent, cheese, avocados, pickled jalapenos, very good, could of used a bit more ground beef, but excellent none the less. . Empanada was stuffed nicely with flavorful beef and cheese. My wife makes her own Brazilian Pasteis (empanadas, recipe handed down from her mother) and doesn't hold high expectations for any others at restaurants, but was extremely happy with Marcy's. . All in all, a delightful meal, reminiscent of the best in California. For the area I give it 5 ! We'll be back and often! ”
“ Great Mexican place. You can taste the authenticity of the foods. Nothing is dry or bland, the sauces and salsa are absolutely perfect with each dish. Good to great sized portions! We love this family style Mexican place! Highly recommend. ”
“ Ordered lunch online. Azteca soup was fabulous: tacos a bit dry. Friendly service, good prices. Will go back. Parking lot on the side; easy to get to. ”
“ I consider myself somewhat of an expert in this cuisine; first impressions are ridiculously amazing. Everything appears scratch made. I met the chef/owner, Marcy when I walked in. Very pleasant to chat with. Her restaurant is in a great location. The guacamole is a 5.0/5.0. Chips are 4.5/5.0. Red sauce was meh. Pico and green sauce are good. The el pastor tacos were fire. 5.0/5.0. Loaded with pork and pineapple. Huge fan. The quesadilla was loaded with chicken and veggies. 4.5/5.0. The salmon mango salad was very good. Rice and beans good. Salmon had good seasoning and was cooked proper. 4.0/5.0. The churro was unreal; she pipes like a vanilla creme into the churro and it cooked perfectly. Tastiest i've ever had. Support local & small businesses. We will definitely be back! ”
“ Oh how I miss food from Puebla. The trio of tacos were delicious. My daughter got the nachos which comes with chicken, refried beans, queso fresco, crema and jalapeños. Very filling. Marcy recommended the Agua de Jamaica, which is tart and sweet and refreshing. There are not many tables inside but grab one if you see one. Marcy is very pleasant and nice to talk with. Everything is priced right but if you're curious, download their app. I'll be back for the chilaquiles! And horchata! ”
